Sportive hq about us
Sportive HQ was formed by Matthew Porter, out of a love and passion for cycling, coupled with his mother’s 30-year long career as a triathlon timekeeper. Matt has over 15 years’ experience in the organisation of various types of cycling events and when Sportive HQ was set up it was very much the feeling that Sportives were becoming more expensive which need not be the case, value for money can be put alongside quality events.
The Sportive HQ team have been organising cycling events for the past 18 years, with combined experience of over 50 years in the industry. We have handpicked our team to ensure the very best standards and as a result we attract the most experienced staff in the UK with the highest pedigree of talent.
Sportive HQ works alongside local clubs to produce events that riders will want to take part in every year. We listen to what riders want from an event and endeavour to meet those requests.

We like to keep things simple; with all our events having ample free parking, showers, changing rooms, a timed event with well-spaced, well stocked feed stations and routes to challenge everyone of all abilities.

We believe that it is essential to give something back to our community and worthy charitable causes. Over the years, Sportive HQ has helped in the production of many local charity events and helped to raise, alongside local clubs, in excess of £50,000 for local charities.

See below for some of the charities we have supported.
