The King Edward 100 takes in some of the quietest roads we have ever seen and we wanted to share with you some fantastic riding along the lanes around North Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. A few hills early on in the ride followed by some long straight flats into some of the most scenic villages such as Ancaster, Folkingham and Heckington to name but a few.

Named after King Edward the Elder, who established the Saxon Manor house in Newark, in the 11th Century, later to become the site of Newark Castle is a classic choice of routes for another of Sportive HQ’s great value sportives. With a fantastic HQ location less than 5 minutes from the A1 it’s easy to get to from many directions!

On the longer routes you don’t have to confirm your distance until after the feed station, so see how you feel on the day, no pressure.

After the event, there will be free photos to download from Adie’s Photography, a top local cycling photographer.

We hope that after you’ve tried the King Edward 100, you’ll be hooked on our value for money sportives where a great day out on the bike is all that matters.

Medals & merchandise

At Sportive HQ, we never felt that medals and merchandise were necessary, just great quality rides at the right price but we know that some people like a medal or something to remember the day with so we added these as options.

Our principal on this is not to charge a high price and give people free merchandise that they didn’t always want but to give you guys the choice.

So when you enter, you get to choose either the straight forward great value ride, or add a Medal, Giraffe Headwear, a tech t-shirt, a mug, a cycling jersey or the VIP Pack that includes medal, Giraffe Headwear and the Tech T-Shirt.

This choose what you want policy is what has helped us achieve our zero waste policy helping us to be an environmentally friendly company.

Online Entry Closes 23:59 pm 7th April 2021. Before entering any of our events,
Please read our Sportive Rules, Terms & Conditions

ENTRY FEE: £35.00

The only question is… which route will you pick?

Nina C. Did the 23 Mile in 2019

Loved this event, the team we set off with were so supportive and stuck together to get each other through. Would definitely recommend this to do the course was well set out and organised and the finish line refreshments were also superb. Pretty flat ground throughout so a good starter event for anyone getting into this sport.

Mark S. Did the 59 Mile in 2019

Very well organised event. Very good value with optional extras at time of booking such as t-shirts and other items. Good course and signage. Will definitely do more Sportive HQ events.

Did it in 2018 &2019. Weather was better in 18 but it was later in the year. (Cant plan the weather). Brilliant event, it’s nice to use my TT bike and it still be a casual sportive. Feed stations were well stocked and the mechanic who swapped a wheel for my mate at the 87 mile feed station is a hero. Well done guys on an excellent event. Ashfield Tri club will be there again on 2020!
