The Flat 100 South – Info

Long Route
With some minor undulations as we leave Peterborough towards Yaxley, this is probably one of flattest 100-mile routes around. From Yaxley we head in the direction of Holme, Ramsey then onwards to skirt around Chatteris before getting close to the edge of Downham Market. Our turning point is nearly as far as Kings Lynn before we turn back East towards Peterborough. The hills might not be challenging on this but the one thing with the fens, the wind will always find you.

Medium Route
If you’re new to sportive riding then this 65-mile route is a perfect way to move up to a greater distance, not challenging with hills but still achievable if you’ve never managed this far before. The turning point is after the Feed station at Manea where you head North towards March before turning back East towards the finish line in Peterborough.
Short Route
This 22-mile route is perfect if you’ve never taken part in a cycling event before, there’s no time limit, a fully signed route and a support number and vehicles on the route to look after you, a feed stop just after halfway in Ramsey St Mary will have all the food you’ll need. Give it a go, it’s a great way to spend the day!

Ruth K. Did the 21 Miles in 2019

A new event for 2019, but absolutely lives up to expectations for a Sportive HQ event. The team have got this nailed, with fantastic organisation and support, a well marked and well thought out route.
Thanks Sportive HQ!

G Thacker. Did the 60 Miles in 2019

Well I thought my day was over at mile 3 today with a flat in my tub but the mechanics were on top form changed my cassette onto a standard wheel and got me on my way. Cheers lads great to have such good support and all part of the details in the organisation. Great event just because it is flat it does not mean it is easy.

Kev A. Did the 102 Miles in 2019

Completed the Flat 100 South today. Another fantastically organised event. So much food and drink to be had. Very helpful and friendly staff. I would like to say a special thank you to the 2 mechanics who kindly swapped and fitted my split tyre at no charge. If this event can be organised so well at a fantastic price why can’t other companies do the same? Well done Sportive HQ. Credit to you and all your team. The medals are also such a great quality with the chance to buy them if you like at such a low cost.
