The Way of the Roses

Group up to 12 riders for a coast-to-coast experience

The Way of the Roses is the most iconic of coast-to-coast routes in the UK, starting on the west coast in Morecambe and finishing on the east coast in Bridlington. It’s fully way marked with National Cycle Network signs, using a mixture of mainly quiet roads and the odd cycle way to help avoid traffic whilst taking on some magnificent views across Lancashire and Yorkshire. Achieving this in a day is the ambition of many a cyclist and who better to look after you than Sportive HQ, with route knowledge and the right nutrition, we don’t just drop you in Morecambe and leave you to it, this is fully supported throughout the day, even with a group size of just 12 maximum we have 2 support vehicles looking after your every need.

This is a serious challenge, 170 miles with 7332ft of ascent in the day, please only attempt this ride if you are strong enough to achieve an average of at least 14mph for the full 170 miles.
In terms of group safety, you must reach the feed stations by the cut off times, otherwise you will need to jump in the van and be moved on to the next feed stop to continue the ride.
