Traws Eryri (Trans Snowdonia)
Traws Eryri 2024

Friday 17th May – Sunday 19th May 2024

200km of Epic Gravel Bike Riding in a single day

Meet us on Friday afternoon 1.30pm at our central point where we load your bikes and luggage and take you to the first nights accomodation in Aberystwyth, ready to ride fresh on Saturday Morning.

Our meeting location is just 5 minutes from Junction 33 of the M62, near Ferrybridge Services ensuring that it is accessible from all directions.

From captivating hidden lanes weaving through valleys to woodland paths and moorland trails ascending towards mist-shrouded peaks, North Wales boasts captivating landscapes ripe for exploration on a gravel bike. In collaboration with Natural Resources Wales, Cycling UK has forged the Traws Eryri (Trans Snowdonia) trail, an off-road adventure path connecting some of Eryri’s most exhilarating biking experiences.

Once you venture past the bustling Snowdon summit of Yr Wyddfa, you’ll uncover extensive networks of tracks and trails that venture deep into forests and wind around the awe-inspiring mountain summits.

This route, encompassing over 4,000 meters of ascent, isn’t intended for the faint-hearted. However, for those willing to embrace the challenge, the rewards are boundless. Prepare to relish exhilarating descents with panoramic vistas stretching for miles, punctuated only by the warm welcome of the villages along your journey.

On our holidays we use two vehicles on the road every day with first aid trained, experienced staff.  There will be a lead vehicle on the road that will be setting up feed stops along the way, for this distance there will be 4 planned stops. The other vehicle will be the ‘follow’ vehicle that you will see regularly throughout the day, so there is no need for you to carry extra equipment and clothing with you, the follow vehicle is always accessible.
